Bronze Medal - International Cool Climate Wine Show 2006
An elegant alternative to typical rich Aussie styles, the nose promises much with sweet, clovey spice, ripe blackberries and plums. The palate delivers in spades with blackberries swirled with a little blue and boysenberry plus a touch of anise. It is deliciously mouth-filling with soft, slurpy tannins and a tiny lick of vanilla to finish.
Good aging potential thanks to its acidity and fine balance.
