Pussers is the original navy rum.
A daily ration (tot) was issued to the sailors by the purser (pusser). Before 1740 the sailors received a pint each day!.
In 1970 this daily allowance was abolished by the Admiralty Board but in 1979 Charles Tobias resurrected Pussers Ltd in the Virgin Islands and the rum was sold to the public for the first time in 1980.
This rum contains no flavouring agents - 100% natural. Pussers Rum was awarded a Double Gold Medal in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2003.
40% ABV.
